We all love a freebie!

Who doesn’t for that matter? So why wouldn’t your guests enjoy a welcoming tray full of lovely tea and coffee? 

Especially when it adds value to their day with no additional fees involved.

You know that the hospitality tray awaiting them is factored into their room rate. Carefully calculated to add value whilst returning on investment.  It’s part of the service, a perk extended to all guests.

Why do guests like complimentary?

As hotel guests, we have all enjoyed the thrill of tucking any unused tea and biscuits into our bags.  Especially if we enjoyed them during our stay.

We won’t even talk about those who sinfully grab and dash when passing the hospitality trolley in the corridor!

A side note for grab and dashers – hospitality staff will often gift you a biscuit or two if you ask nicely.

But ultimately, guests enjoy complimentary goods that benefit them.

Are your guests cleaning house when they leave?

A partially or unused hospitality tray indicates the free tea and coffee weren’t to their liking.

It’s likely that despite being complimentary, it just wasn’t worth taking home with them. 

This is a key sign that your in-room facilities need an upgrade or your replenishment options aren’t satisfactory.
